Rastaclat Joins the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Several reports show that the Philippines has the highest incident rate of breast cancer in Asia. Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers in the country, as confirmed by the Philippines’ Department of Health and Philippine Cancer.

Rastaclat, a symbol of righteousness and doing good for yourself and others, has teamed up with several institutions worldwide to unite for a cause. Founder and CEO of the brand, Daniel Kasidi, believes that spreading positive vibrations is important with all the negative energies around the world.

In support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Rastaclat produced two bracelets to support this cause. Available in two sizes, Classic Awareness and Mini Awareness, the fight for breast cancer is supported with 100% of the proceeds being donated to two charitable institutions in the Philippines, ICANSERVE Foundation and ILAW ng Maynila.

ICANSERVE Foundation is a non-stock, non-profit organization in Manila, Philippines that advocates early breast cancer detection through information campaigns and community-based screening programs. The volunteers are cancer survivors who are willing to share their light and knowledge with other patients and survivors.

Life & Actions of Women or ILAW ng Maynila, is a women’s movement with the advocacy to promote the rights and interests of women and children. ILAW conducts seminars in local barangays to work closely with the Manila Department Social Welfare for local abuse cases.

To raise more funds, Rastaclat placed a donation box across all Sole Academy branches for the whole month with all proceeds going to the charitable institutions.

Aside from the physical donation boxes at all four branches, the cause also accepts online donations at www.gofundme.com/bandingtogether.

On November 12, together with Philippine General Hospital, Rastaclat will hold a one-day event in Dapitan, Manila to give a free consultation to all attendees. Several doctors and breast cancer survivors will also be at the event to increase awareness against the conditions.

In your own small way, you can help others by showing your support with a Rastaclat Awareness bracelet.
